Terms of service

1. The service

Kinnexi provides an AI companion that holds scheduled video conversations with a person you care for (the "recipient"), based on information your family adds to a Life Memory Graph, and sends summaries of those conversations to authorised family members.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login secure.

You confirm that the recipient has agreed to receive Kinnexi calls, or that you are legally authorised to agree on their behalf.

3. Subscription and billing

Kinnexi is offered as a monthly subscription. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders and handles payment, invoicing, taxes and customer service related to payments.

Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Minutes and overage

Each plan includes a number of call minutes per billing period. Minutes are counted from when the recipient joins a call until it ends, rounded up to the next minute.

Where your plan allows overage, minutes beyond the included amount are billed per minute at the rate shown at purchase. Otherwise, calls pause until the next billing period. Unused minutes do not roll over.

5. AI disclosure

Kinnexi is an artificial intelligence. It is presented as an AI to the recipient and never as a human or a family member. Conversations and summaries are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. Kinnexi is designed to rely only on information provided by your family and not to invent memories.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• add content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful, hateful or harmful;
• use Kinnexi to deceive, manipulate or exploit the recipient;
• attempt to make Kinnexi impersonate a real person;
• interfere with or reverse-engineer the service.

7. Not a medical or emergency service

Kinnexi is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, monitoring or treatment. It is not an emergency service. If someone may be in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe).

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kinnexi is provided "as is" and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in case of serious or repeated breach of these terms, after notice where reasonably possible.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — placeholder]. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
